I just installed MBRP cool duals. It 's a nice system. My question is when I start my truck it has this real nice rumble ,then it's like something closes and my truck get real quiet. When you stand at the back by the tail pipes you can hear a high pitch coming from the turbo but it seems like nothing is coming out of the exhaust.I presume this is normal and just wanted to be sure.Is this because of the varible vein turbo ?
When I did the exhaust on my 7.3 it was loud even at idle,so it just kind of surprised me at idle that it's quiet, once I get on the road you can hear that rumble.I just wanted to check to see if this is normal ?

Thanks
Very Normal..... They all do it if you have a turbo back exhaust.... At first I thought it was the wastegate closing, but I was corrected and told that its the Veins in the turbo closing a few seconds after start up. I believe they close during idle, then gradually open depending on how much acceleration you give it.... I think it sound pretty cool... Sounds like a Jet sitting on the runway waiting to take off...
