I've transplanted a 79' 302 w/ electronic ignition into my 71', I've figured out all the wires for the trans, coil, dist., but I can't tell where the two wires for the control module(red-bl and white) go to. One goes to the switch, the other to the solenoid I think, Idon't know how to adapt them to what I already have! any help would be appreciated.
white goes to a hot-in-run feed from the ignition switch; power for the module.
Red-Blue goes from a hot-in-start feed at the switch to the module AND through the neutral safety switch to the starter relay (the "S" terminal). My Haynes also shows a bypass for the NSS. I'm thinking this NSS is the one on the column used with auto trannys in '78-'79. This one wire has to pull in the starter solenoid and supply power to the module while the key is in the start position. The "gearshift position switch" (NSS) interrupts the power to the solenoid.
