Just bought a 1978 F100 with a 351M and noticed the wiper switch dangling from the dash. Hooked the wires back up and it was dead, so I replaced the switch. Using a multimeter, I checked the voltage without the motor hooked up and it showed proper voltage between the red and white wires to black but 0 on the blue wire. Hooked up the motor and it shows 0 on everything and I hear a buzz on and off from the switch area. Tried a new motor with no luck. Any suggestions? Fuse is not blown.
Make sure you have 12 volts on the red wire out at the motor.
Make sure you have 12 volts on the white wire when the switch is moved to low. It's better to check the voltages when everything is hooked up.
When you are checking for 12 volts out at the motor, use the metal part of the motor as the ground. If you do not get any voltage, move the minus meter lead to the engine block and see if you get voltage. This will tell you if you have a grounding problem.
