Annoying Vibration
I have this annoying vibration when cruising down the highway. The truck has done this with two sets of tires so I think that tire balance is out of the question. I replaced the rear u joint like 10k ago and checked all the others, they felt good. This has been going on for quite a while now and it is starting to get on my nerves. Anyone have any suggestions?

for play they seemed OK but ended up finding a bad one after removing the driveshaft.

is the rear of your truck higher than stock? it may be the fact that you need to drop down the center driveshaft carrier bearing to get a better pinion angle. i had to on mine, and i even had a shimmy feeling before it was lifted. at 42-44mph, you could look over and see the passenger seat vibrating like crazy.

I might be able to help you.I have had the same thing but at 75 mph. I used to truck pull it so it has had some stress on the driveline. Any way I found out that my pinion nut backed off. I bought a crush collar,seal,and nut and put it back togethe and solved my vibration.Just a thought to check and see if your rear yoke has play up and down.
