Question Overheat When Towing - Strange Problem

So my truck does overheat but I'm beginning to think that the problem isent a blown head gasket. I have no coolant leaking and the levels which I check often are where they are supposed to be. Ford sais Head gasket. I say its something else.

Dosen't a blown head gasket usually spit out coolant???

Gasket could be blown out between cylinders...check your tailpipe....and moisture there? Carefully check your coolent level AND your oil level...any INCREASE of oil/coolent there? You didn't list your year and model truck....is it still under warranty?
Do you tow? Do you have a trans cooler? We need more info to help....untill then, Ford ARE the experts.

I just got my truck back after being repaired for the same problem, overheating only when towing my 44' racecar trailer. They replaced the clutch for the fan, belt and thermostat. I won't know until next weekend if the problem is fixed ( go racing every two weeks)

No moisture, no signs of leaking oil or coolant. (Last leak was a pin sized hole in the resivour tank). And no increase or different coloration.

Yes I do tow. I use to tow alot and I meant alot 8000 pound tanks. A couple a day to various places and smaller equipment. My Coolant level is what overheats. My trans temp dosent even budge. Stays where it is towing or not. Warranty is now void. Currently at 180,000 km on the ol' speedometer. No trans cooler or mods. Totally stock.

What I am working on right now is checking out the axle shaft to see if there is any damage and so far there is none. Throwing on a pair of Warn manual hubs, new ball joints and axle seals for now. I don't have a pair of snap ring pliers to take off the snap rings so gotta wait till tomorrow to pick up a pair.

Oh yes, my truck details:

180,000 km

Also, you might check the EGR cooler; I experienced a problem with mine a few months ago. Overheated, coolant blowing out the tank, coolant in the exhaust... My first thought was the head gaskets. My truck was only in the shop for one day to get that repaired. I also tow pretty heavy, about 19,000 lbs gross with my trailer loaded.
