hard exceleration zing
I have a 02 xlt with 75 000 kms auto 4.6
under hard excelleration around just before the tranny shifts into the last gear
i hear a mettalic wine or zing noise curious if any one has come across this
only happens when i keep my foot to the floor right throught the shift but the noise quits as soon as the revs drop with the shift

Mass airflow sensor. It's located in the air intake just after the air filter housing towards the engine. Just spray some electrical contact cleaner on the two filiment wires to remove any residue. Do not touch them, they break easily.
