It looks like the mirrors are different too. Smaller and more car-like. Surely they have retained the ability to extend but it's not obvious. The lower front bumper just scares me. Oh, please Ford... don't turn this truck into a car...

The 07 has the regular mirrors on not the TT mirrors other photo on autoweek shows with TT mirrors which are bigger than current TT mirrors. and don't worry they won't go GM on us!!

"...parked next to the current 2006 model." Hmm, looks like and 03-04 to me. Those people are idiots.

What are those guys talking about?? The one with the cover looks like a 05-06, and the one they call the 06 is actually an older model!! It would be nice if the people that wrote these stories actually knew something about trucks. Probably some guy that usually writes about BMWs!

As we now know, it is an '08 MY...not '07.

Isn't the lower bumper a result of a new Federal "crash" mandate? With a lower bumper the big dawgs will be able to plow right thru a ricer instead of just climbing over them.

I find it interesting that they are testing towing capacity as noted by the trailer. Guess it is load with weighted containers...likely water. Wonder how much weight?

Agree..... Besides being lower, I don't see the difference between my 06' and the so called 2007-2008. The front grille looks the same as an 06', so does almost everything else. Im sure the interior may look much different, but as far as exterior cosmetics goes, im stumped........

Even covered the head lights look to be vertical in nature as opposed to horizontal.

We have seen / heard in other threads and spy shots that the grill will be more prominent...as in other new models from Ford.. with a bigger Blue Oval. There is supposed to be a change of some kind regarding the tailgate and tail lights.

Regardless, it is fun to have a peek and guess. If just for giggles and grins.

im going to say that the one under cover is an 06 or 07 with a fitted front cover mask under 2007 features. the taillights are different. i can almost bet it's a 6.0 under the hood. look at the exhaust pipe, and the amount of soot on it. the 6.4's will have extremely clean exhaust, wipe your finger on the inside of the pipe and you wont see anything.
