screen cleaning

It has been awhile since I last posted, sorry. I have a little question. I had read on here at one time about a screen located on the fuel filter housing at least I think I did. Is there such a thing and if so where is it? Is this something that should be cleaned on a regular bases. Any help clearing up my thoughts would be appreciated. This forum has been a life saver for me and my truck, thanks to all for sharing your information and ideas.

Look inside the fuel filter housing, you need to use a cotton swab to reach in the hole opening, and clean screen. Jcab

Thanks jcab, I didn't realize it was inside the housing. This might make it easy to find. Thanks again

The screen is on the FPR on the left (drivers) side of the fuel filter housing near the top. You can use the cotton swab or remove the FPR and clean it. If you do the swab, clean it every 3-4 months. Forgot to say that the screen is accessed from inside the filter housing through the hole. I think there was something on stevebiz's site about it.

It is on Baz's website, but I recall it mentioning to remove the cotton from the end of the swab.
FPR is Fuel Pressure Regulator.
