wheel back spacing
I have an 84, f-250, 2 wheel drive and I was wanting to buy new wheels. but am not sure of the back spacing on the current rims. anyone know the factory rims size on an 84 f-250? I think its currently 16x8 with a 5" back spacing and 6.5" spread between lugs does this sound right. thanks.........Beegee

Stock wheels should be 16x7, not 16x8, but I may be wrong with your wheels. As for the lugs, they are 8x6.5. If you take a straight edge and place it on the back of the wheel, then take a ruler and measure from the back of the hub face to the straight edge, it'll give you the exact backspacing. Just make sure you don't set the straight edge on the tire or it will throw off your measurements. Let some air out of the tire and do it that way.
