A/C issues
Last summer the A/C in my 04 SCREW worked great. This summer when I turned it on I noticed that it worked ok on the freeway, but around town it just could not keep the cab cool. Also the compressor never cycled anymore, it just ran non stop. The same thing happened to my Toyota truck. The Toyota</ST1
dealer told me the system was within parameters and would not fix it. That is one of the reasons I got rid of the truck. I was expecting the Ford dealer to do the same thing so I took it back to the dealership where I bought the truck. I did not even want to try my local dealer due to past experiences. Galpin Ford in the <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com[img] /><st1:City w:st=[/img]Toyota</st1:City> truck and the <st1:City w:st=" /><st1:City w:st="on"><ST1San Fernando</ST1</st1:City>Valley are not only replacing my A/C under warenty, but they gave me a free rental car! Yes I know they haven’t fixed it yet, but I was expecting them to blow me off with some BS excuse and not even try to fix it. I just wanted to let those of you on the forum that live in SO Cal that there is a good dealership near by.
And no I don’t work for Galpin Ford

I just got my truck about a week ago and noticed that the a/c will not cool well at times. It has the automatic climate control (Lariat) and if I hit the a/c button off and back on, I can hear it change and blow cold and stronger. I don't know if it's normal or just the automatic climate control crap taking over. I keep it set to recirculate, but it sounds like thats what's changing. The recirculate icon stays on too btw.

my 2000 does the same thing, its getting fixed right now,..... first place wanted a grand to dig into the dash to get to it and then i had to pay for parts..... the place where it is now said they could PROBABLY do it for a few hundred
