It all depends on what you mean by "best." Shorties will bolt right up to your stock exhaust system, are inexpensive and are relatively easy to install. Long tubes will give you more power but will require more work to install. Once I get to that point I will go with shorties from Summit (pn SUM-G9035). You sound like you want a little more out of your truck so get long tubes to go with that 3" exhaust.
