Ranger Rear Suspensions
Just got a 2002 Ranger 2wd. Looking to do some up grades and starting with the rear suspension. Are the rear springs the same width on the 2wd and the 4wd units, spring mounts, shackles, etc.? Thanks for the help.

If it's an Edge, then yes, the springs are the same. I know that for sure. I don't know if there are differences in the regular 2wd. However, there are many mods out there for 2wd Rangers, so I'm not entirely sure why you need to know...

Since you asked, the new unit is an XLT 4x2. I have access (FREE) to some suspension parts from a 2000 XLT 4x4. Since the GVWR is 4340 for the 4x2 and 5020 for the 4x4, I was thinking of putting the rear leaf springs from the 4x4 on the 4x2, if they were stronger. If they are the same, need to spend some bucks. Thanks!!!
