I guess all of this is why the automobile industry makes so many different models and options. To each his own, let's all agree one is not better than the other. (as long as they are all F250s in this forum) I agree with moldman7n, I also would take an XL over a Chevy.
When I priced out the KR and the Lariat both the way I wanted, the KR was only about $1700 more than the Lariat as the KR came with options I would have had to pay for on the Lariat.
its like asking..blonde?? or brunet?? would be nice to say one of each please..but in your case...it depence on what color interior you like..king ranch you will only get tan interior........ lariat you can go both ways...
In 2005 the KR included the Lariat Luxury package...which was ab option on Lariats...for 2006 the Lariat has that package included...I'm not sure how that would affect the pricing...
I have to look at my stickers...I had a 2005 KR and now a 2006 KR both have the same options....ALL,LOL
Oh yeah, the power sliding rear window comes with the Lariat package in our state for an addtional $185.00. Heated seats come at a price of 220.00 on the Lariat Pacage extra.
Not sure if you are joking or not...but If the charge additional 185.00, than it doesn't come in the Lariat package...Ford shows the window as an option for the Lariat.
If your really a fan of leather, go for the King Ranch. According to the 2006 order guide, on the Lariat, only the center panels on the outboard front seats are real leather. The rest of the front seats, front center, and all of the rear seats are what they call “premium vinyl”.
KR Takes more Maintenance the seat need attention at least every 2 weeks in a sunny area maybe more i have a real clean 05 for sale if your interested replacing with 07 Harly mid mid life crises an all
I have had my KR since Feb and have not done anything to the seats and they still look showroom. Quite frankly I am a little disapointed by that as I want the aged rugged look. Mine is not an everyday vehicle, is garage kept and has tinted front windows. That may be why seats are not aging.
I use my most every day I have Factory tinted rear windows already had the passanger seat replaced and apply conditiner every 2 weeks this is real leather so it ages differently in every truck
