crew cab interior dome light

I have a 2004 F-250 c/c Lariat 4x4 and I was wondering if anyone else has this problem. Is the interior dome light supposed to come on when the back door is open? Mine only comes on if the front door is opened or if I use the remote to unlock the doors. Owners manual says if any door is opened but with all the cost cutting at Ford, is this another item that got cut? I noticed the reflector lights were omitted when I removed the door panels trying to diagnose problem. Thanks for any help

My '05 dome light comes on when any door is opened I hope they wouldnt think of omiiting this function !!

my 06 250 cc xlt both light come on with any door open. maybe you have a bad switch or broken wire?
