broken bolt
I have a broken thermostat housing bolt, that goes to the lower intake manifold of my sister's
94 Bravada 4.3 L Vortec ,the bolt might be sticking out at least of 3/4 in.
What is the best way to remove it? the bolt that broke is #163 in the diagram;

Find a nut that will fit snugly over the broken stump and plug weld it to the end of the broken bolt. The heat from welding will also help free up the threads. Just in case you were considering it, forget the "easy-out" method. They're anything but. They usually snap off. Then you're REALLy screwed.

Would JB stuff work?
If you've got 3/4" of thread sticking out, you could put two nuts on there, and tighten them against each other, then put your wrench on the inner nut to loosen the stuck bolt.
I've never tried it, but many here swear by the torch and candle method to wick wax into the threads.
I doubt JB Weld would work--I'm not impressed by the stuff. You'd probably be better off using the strong formula of LokTite (I forget if it's the red or blue, but it's the one that requires torch heat to remove).
