Installed new intercooler tonight. I went by the directions to see how well they were and how long it would take. The install included removing the radiator and took about three hours. The duct between the battery box and core support is a must remove for install and don't forget to reinstall before mounting the radiator. there are pics in my gallery and web shots that show the duct and some tools that come in handy.
. Trying to get ready for pulls and it's late more tomorrow.
that is freaking awesome. maybe your EGT's wont be pegged anymore, just near it. you plan on upgrading your intercooler pipes and boots? you should have removed that heat wrap on the "very hot" side of your pipes.
Still drive it every day. Last Friday was sweet. Drive 50 miles to a pull, beat the pants off everyone in mod class and drive home. I will let you guys know more later. Got to get ready to leave at 1pm and still need to change oil and set up the rear suspension. I can say the difference in spool up was noticeable. I felt what I had was very good and never expected it.
There is one thing nice about a six leaker. They have the removeable top to the core support!
Lets say spool up and power are unreal. At 120 ft this p.o.s. starts bouncing. Back clear out of the throttle and bumped it out of gear. While drifting to a crawl I can feel the chain is still tight. Shove it back in gear and roll back in the throttle. The charger lites without slipping the clutch and I manage 240ft+. Snapped the pinion clean at the housing when the sled hits at the end of the track. Should have video soon.
