67 F250 Speedo cable
Trying to find replacement for the speedo cable that snapped off today. Cable is rotted through in another place, too. In trying to locate a source I find getting the right cable depends on knowing what trans you have. My truck has a 352 V8 with a 3 speed automatic. In reading the thread below, I'm assuming the trans is an FMX. The main body is in three pieces bolted together (bell, mid and tail). The pan is rectangular. The only cables for a '67 that I can find listed so far (Obsolete Ford Parts, Dennis Carpenter, LMC Truck) are for a 3 speed...I assume they mean 3 speed manual. Is there really that much difference in speedo cables? Is an FMX the same as a C4? Am I going to have to scour the boneyards to get a speedo cable? Thanks for any help.
Also, after reading the HTML reference helps, I've gotta say this is the most confusing board I've ever tried to post a link on. Nothing I read in the reference page works.
