Radiator For 1994 Ford Van

Is there a good place to get a radiator on-line. I have a 351 V8 Ford and was wanting to upgrade from a two row to a three row.

Try a MO 2354 at NAPA it is for a 460 but should mount and hook up OK.
All hose connection are the same and the Rad. Support should be the same.
Here is the one it calls for a two row and the three row side by side.

Would think Napa would have the MO 2354 above.

Well I found out that the 3 row radiator is $400 so that goes out of the picture. I have one of those fluid clutches/w spring and wonder if I put a solid fan in will I get better radiator cooling?

I bought a standard replacement radiator from O'Rielly's for about $150 after the rad shop tried three times to fix a simple leak.

From NAPA is a the pass MODINE radiator that he wanted:
Item#: MO 2354

Price: $427.00
tax and shipping not included

The one from O'Rielly's is not an OEM and is a two pass that is made in China.
O'Rielly sells the same one that Auto Zone and the rest of auto parts sell, NAPA is the only one that sells the OEM Radiator.

Yeah, its a two row, so was the OE and he said the $400 3 pass was out. What do you expect for $250 less?

ed2hess you are having cooling issues? The standard two pass radiator should be more than capable of cooling in most any conditions. Mine has no trouble towing across the deserts in the heat of the summer. If you have having cooling issues I doubt its the capacity of the radiator. Yours may need cleaning or you may have another problem.

Lots of things can effect cooling. I have seen water pumps with the vanes eroded away, the rad plugged with scale, t-stats that only open partway... even a malfunctioning EGR valve can cause it to run hotter than normal.

What kind of problems are you having?

When I pull our lawn trailer in hilly roads for 4 -5 miles the temperature gage goes up over center. I have had radiator rodded, new fan clutch, and the
thermo stat is out. When I pull off the road the thing seems to cool down in a resonable amount of time. I just took it to trans shop to ensure that it is okay and not slipping. Today at 55mph that stupid fan clutch started making a lot of noise like a 747. It normally only does that when you first start out and essentially stops when I get to around 20 mph. I shifted into overdrive and back out and it seemed to settle down. Hope some of this makes sense.

Sounds like you have some kind of cooling issue. My '95 5 liter tows my racecar/trailer combo for hundreds of miles across the south in the extreme of summer heat and never gets much past the O in normal on the gauge. Even sitting in stop and go traffic when towing through construction zones or Atlanta, no issues. And that is running the dual air all the time.
