My wife's excursion was broken into this weekend. They took a screwdriver and jammed it in the drivers side key hole and broke the lock. Is there any alternative to putting the lock back in? or to preventing this from happening again? Since we have keyless and keypad entry we dont need the key lock.
You'll find everything you need to know about your truck and then some...

The local news Fox 26 did a report on this very thing. If you go to almost any truck accessories store or check around online, you'll find the solution for this. I don't know what they name of it is, but it's a metal plate that prevents the screwdriver from getting to the lock itself. It goes behind the door panel behind the lock itself and acts as a shield. Don't quite know what the name is, but if you check around online you should find it quite easily.
