2001 Supercrew (gen1)

Hey guys, I am hoping someone can set me straight. I purchased a 2001 Supercrew and my seats do not have headrests. This means I have a "gen 1",,,right? I really need back seats with headrest. So I can use 2001 "gen 3" or 2002 - 2003? Is this right? Mine are the tan leather Lariat Stamped bench upfront and the normal NON HEADRESTED split seats in the back (with no middle armrest). I'm mainly just wanting to upgrade the back unless the colors are a little different, styles look different, etc.

Please set me straight with options... And is ebay is best option?

Thanks guys!!

On the 2001 Supercrew, the Gen I & Gen II's do not have headrests on the back seats. I have a Generation III and the headrests are in place. Actually, the Gen III's were made as the 2002's were on the line for assembly, thus, the Gen III's for 2001 had everything the 2002's have.

I bought my vehicle used with 25K miles and convinced Ford to do a new paint job free at a quality paint dealer because it had flaws in the undercoat. When I got it back three weeks later, it was beautiful but the door stickers were gone. So, I called Ford, gave them the VIN and they gave me the build date and all of the other data. You could do this to see if maybe yours is a Gen II.

Hope this helps. Mert

Absolutely it does! I will take your advice and do this. This does help out by narrowing my search.

Thanks...
