Side moulding separating

95 F150 Side moulding separating from the drivers door. I believe a double sided type tape was originally used. I'm worried about bending the moulding trying to get the part that still sticking off to replace the adhesive. What adhesive should I use to stick it back on? Where to get it? Thanks....... The double-sided tape is available from most automotive paint stores. I have gotten it several times from Napa in my area.

3M makes a superior double sided tape, get the gray instead of the black. If the moulding looks bent after you remove it as happens a lot of the time, you will need to peel off the silver strip that is under the factory adhesive tape. That will allow it to straighten out again. If it's not bent leave the silver strips on and apply the new tape to it.

I agree with using the 3m products. Make sure you degrease the area. If you leave the moulding in the sun for a bit it will also help in straightening it out if required.
