Unhappy Arrrggghhhh!!!!!

I am desperately in need of some help. Last year, I had the AVIC-D1 professionally installed in my 04 Sport Trac. To make a long story short, I had it taken out (also by a professional) a few months ago. Now I am trying to install it myself in an 02 Mountaineer. The wiring harness on the unit fits perfectly w/ the truck, & everything seems to be connected correctly there. I ran the black ground wire, the lt. green parking brake sensor wire, & the lavender back up sensor wire down. I connected the ground wire to test the power, but got nothing. I saw the yellow 12V wire when i went back in to test, connected it to what i think was the right wire in the ignition harness (as this is what I got from another site), but still nothing. Can someone PLEASE tell me what I am doing wrong or what I am missing here? I have been fighting this for a week & I need some sound!!!!!!!! Thx a lot!
