Talking Supercharged 84 Bronco ... Finally done

its been forever and a day, but my truck has been finished up mechanically, all the gremlins worked out, and is now once again my daily driver.
will be getting all the rust areas cut out, and a respray, but these are details

351c 1984 bronco xlt, with Eaton M112 supercharger from a US ford Lightning, running twin gas research carbs (propane carbs) (lpg to Aus ) and getting about 300km per 120 ltr tankfull.

and rip-roaring along at only 4 PSI boost.
total cost from purchase of the M112 unit to now;
10,000 AUD
this includes all fabrication work for the unique setup, new gas system & carbs, belts etc. new c6 trans, and dual 3" exhaust system, and all work.
time of build: 15 months. (not happy with that length of time)

I dont know the power Hp/Tq numbers yet. after 10,000 spent, dyno's are an expensive luxury at the moment!
she flies along real nice though. I have the pulley for 9PSI but the requires water injection or an intercooler system.

Nice custom set-up... would never have thought to mount the blower sideways.

Looks great Sean, something different for sure. And I like orange as a colour too

What C/R are you running?

Even considering that its on LPG that is 6mpg...

Still, its all worth it

Might be an issue with timing, comp ratio, the a/f ratio, and the LPG giving that mileage... isn't propane a higher octane fuel?

yeah - but it provides lower BTU's... so increased fuel consumption/lower hp... but it allows you to increase the C/R (due to the higher effective octane #) to compensate for these things

Right-o, so upping the compression ratio, not practical in every instance - or in Sean's case, timing and a/f ratio adjustments will help to take advantage of the octane. More hp with less consumption...

By the way, I did not realize Ford offered a right hand drive Bronco...

Yeah - the Bronco's and F150/250/350's were built in Australia from the early 70's right up to the early 90's... Our current Super Duties are built in Brazil now...

We missed out on a a lot of things - we only saw them in reg cab, very limited engine and spec options (no diesels, no FE's, no 460's, no 351M's, no 400's etc.)...
However we did get some cool things. We were the only place to get the 351C fitted to an F-truck from the factory, we also got the 302C fitted too (I don't think you even recieved that motor)
