I would just do a search but I only get one week back so I'm going to have to ask stuff that has been asked a million times before. Does the pin come out the top or bottom? Also, what should I used to push it out? Any hints for this job. I have done the radius bushings, pivot bushings, new steering links, rag joint, and a new p/s box so this is it. Once I'm done here then it should drive like new.
Comes out either way top or bottom (at least it should). I used a heavy hammer and one of the extra spark plug sockets I never use - wear safety glasses, the pin is case hardened. If that doesn't work go to an impact hammer. Don't even mess around with heat, if the hammer doesn't get it out quickly - it's probably not going to come out without a press or impact hammer.
man, don't do it! On my 67, I hammered like crazy and the pin would not budge. I tried a propane torch, but I think it was just a good as holding a bic lighter on it. My advice is: if you don't know when the last time the kingpins were removed, they probably won't come out without a press, so skip the annoying part and just pull the I-beams and take them to a shop to have them pressed out. It doesn't really cost very much, and it saves a lot of trouble. I really screwed up the threads for the grease caps that go over the kingpins, and I had a hell of a time getting someone to re-tap the threads so I could even get a grease cap on there.

Thr problem with hammering is that you actually can end up wedging the pins in there. For the amount of time and effort involved, the consensus here always seems to be to pull the entire I-beams and have the pins pressed out by your local shop with a press. The added benefit of having a shop do the work is that they can press the new bushings in and ream the new bushings as necessary (applies only to the brass-type).
