Trailor Lights
I have a 1998 150 4x4 with the towing package. I can not got 12vto the brake light pin or the blinker pin to the 4 pin connector or to the big round connector. Already checked ALL the fuses in both fuse boxs. I traced the brake wire out of the connector and it seems to go to the front of the truck?? Why would Ford do this , The brake light is in the rear. Oh well....Back to the problem. Am I missing something here ?? Ive had the truck since 2000 but really had no need to tow anything until now. Any help would be thankful.

You could unplug the trailer wiring harness along the frame and check the voltage there. It is possible there is a lot of corrosion inside the wiring at the plug. I just replaced my trailer harness because I was having intermittent problems with my trailer lights. That fixed my problem. It was $60.00 CDN from the dealer. I have a 1998 F150 with the Trailer tow package
