2002 trailer brake module install

Have a 2002 explorer that came factory with the big 7 pole trailer package and came with the brake module harness loose. Where does this harness plug in? I cannot find it anywhere? Would this vehicle already have the blue trailer brake wire to the rear plug also???

Thanks

I can ask the dealer when I'm there in the morning if you would like and I will get back to you.

It's behind the glove box; after you drop it down look up and to the left and you should see it, taped to a wire bundle or brace.

If you buy a brake controller with the correct harness (I recommend Prodigy), you can plug it in and not have to mess with splices on the factory harness. I used a long tie-wrap to pull the wires thru to the driver's side (clever Ford, putting the plug on the passenger's side).

If it takes a Ford tech 1 1/2 hours to find it, he and the service advisor should both be canned for not doing a little research first. Glad I was able to help.
