My 04/04 was at a body repair center for 5 weeks. After pick the truck up it had no boost so I drove it to the dealership for repair. They replace the EGR and I was good to go. On the way home a couple of times it had no boost or very slow to boost and this problem would last only 5 to 10 seconds. So when I was have not issues I unplugged the EGR and it has ran fine with no boost problems.
The week I was pulling my 11k 5th wheel on rolling mountain and 2 times the boost reading went to 40. I have never had it over 32 WOT pulling the 5th wheel. Is there a problem and if so what.
I'm with Catalina, sounds like the vanes in your turbo are sticking. You mentioned that your truck was in the shop for 5 weeks. It's not uncommon for corrosion to build up in the turbo when left idle for extended periods. This could be the case in your circumstance.
