Just got the 84 mobile and I just put on a cheap new muffler. And inside the cab is very Loud is this because it only has the rubber mat and no Insulation in the floor or carpet.
Have a good one

I`m guessing a short or no tailpipe..Most of the sound should be out the end of the tailpipe, other wise it echos underneath the cab/ground and is way too loud.
I'm still in my reabealous years, the louder the better!!!
If your hearing starts to ring after a drive to Saskamatoon withut a loud stero you got my kinda truck.
Muffler I put on was just an elcheapo from the auto parts store quite small and pretty much straight through but I didn't expect it to be this loud. I'm past the rebel years.. Well not completely but close to it I would like to retain what hearing I have left. When I get home maybe I will run the tailpipe out the side to try to reduce the echo from underneath the truck
Thanks Guys

I kinda had the same problem with my PSD. I cut out the entire exhaust and routed it in front of the rear passenger tire. Souded great, but a little loud for wife and kids. Put the muffler back in this spring. It's amazing how much difference tailpipe placement makes.
