parking brake cable.

ok guys, i need some help here. my parking brake cable came undone from the lever in the cab, and i cant get enough slack out of it to reinstall it. does anybody here know of a way to get slack in it to get the wire put back in the slot?

Release all of the tension by backing off the adjusting nuts on the cable under the truck.

ill do that once shes down off of the jackstands, i got the front end apart repalcing the axle seal.

Spray down the threads and nut on that emergency brake equalizer bar under the truck a few day before, even use a wire brush to clean the threads.
