Buckle down. It's hot.

Y'all ready for the reasonably cool spell to be over? Get ready for 90* weather for a while. I think summer's here to stay. Oh, how I miss the summer of '04.

I'll take the heat over the cold any day. I'm a warm weather kind of guy though.

I'm a warm weather guy too. Just as long as it's nice this weekend and the weekend in Aug. for the meet I don't care what the rest of the summer is like.

hmm... I don't do too well when it's hot. Not that anyone wants to know this, but I'm a very hairy guy, and I get a lot of heat builtl up undermy shirt, and I just die, I think. I can't wait for winter! Last winter, when it was 7* outside, I ran around campus in a t-shirt and shorts to see what people would say. no one noticed unless I was outside.

I guess I'm still a newbie to the area. I've been in KC for a little more than a year, and I haven't seen hot yet. I spent the last 20 years in Phoenix. That's hot. I loved seeing all four seasons again. I can deal with the summer "heat" in KC, but I can't wait to see Fall again.

I hate the use the same cliche again and again... but...

"It aint the heat. It's the humidity."

To me, the biggest problem with the heat is the the performance of my diesel. The intercooler just can't help it enough. She's way slower in the heat than in the cold. ROFLMAO!!
Sad, but I'm just like my truck. Sluggish in the heat!! I got too much weight, no intercooler and my turbo is always runnin hot!! Hahahahahahaha

Ok, I like the heat, but this weekend is going to be tough. I'm racing in Topeka on Friday. 2 hour endurance event between 3 riders. I just checked the weather forecast and the high there of Friday is 93 degrees. That's not too bad by itself, but considering I'll be in full leathers, in the sun, riding a bike hard....well let's just say I'll be glad when it's over.

Hey, I feel for you. You'll lose 10 pounds of water by the time that thing's over.

I love the summer! Swimming, camping, cooking on the grill, fishing, beats anything you could do in the winter. I just walk outside, feel the warmth on my skin, look at the beautiful summer sky, and I'll have a big smile on even in the morning, which says a lot for me beause I am not a morning person. I'll compromise with you though and say it can get a little too hot. I'd be happy with high 80 degree temps tops, but I pretty much need a full 3 months of summer to recuperate from the winter. I'll be happy when I won't have to commute all the way home from Kansas City during the hottest part of the day. Sitting at so many lights with no AC sure can cook a person through.

For those of us that live in the Lake of the Ozarks, summer mean tourist season and while they bring in the money, they can sure be a pain too. Kinda like women, can't live with them, can't live without them. Hahahahaha
