I have a 1954 ford f100 with the origanl 215 in it. I was woundering if any one new of some performance parts i could by like cam, intake, header???????
Welcome driver96er to FTE. You must have your reasons for asking this but I can`t help thinking how easy a 302 is to modify and how well it fits in a 54....
My '60 originally had a 223 6 and auto on the column. Now has 289 Hi-Po and 4 speed with 4.30 posi. Would like to get a 351 W or C, with auto. But until I sell them, I'm stuck with what I have. Plenty of get up and go....straight to the high octane pump. Haven't cut the body so I can go back to original someday easily. Do what you want with yours. A lot to be said for originality. Good luck with whatever you do.
Unless that was an early model 54' that got a carryover engine from 53' the 54' had a 223 6 cylinder. Here is a website you can try for performance mods
Now for what you will spend you might consider a 302 out of a late model 84-96 FOMOCO product. You can switch it carb if EFI is not your cup of tea. Replacements parts are also easier to obtain.
