HI all , im rob from ohio. i recently bought me a new work truck. it's a 2002 F250 super duty, 5.4 triton engine.. upgrades so far are , predator programmer, dynomax dual exhuast, K&N CIA, got some aluminum SD wheels off ebay, and some other stuff!
well down to my questions, I got a new grill, and a chrome front bumper, etc
what i need to know is how can i mount the newer style sealed headlights, in this thing. i have the sealed glass old school units....
I read a thread here not long ago, somebody wanted to go the other way. I don't think it'll be difficult at all - but don't know for sure. Somebody replied to that thread, but can't remember what they said. Mayby you could swap parts??
I found the thread, but it wasn't exaclty what I thought. Put a post there, and maybe you could strike a trade. Many people here like the XL headlight setup.
a friend of mine put a 2005 front end on his 2000. he just kept calling auto wreckers in ontario. eventually found a truck that was wrote off from side impact.
Yes. You can swap those out. All you need to do is find some you want and bolt them in. The core supports are the same. The wiring is alittle different I believe - you'll need the sockets and wiring to splice into your harness. There may be a common connector in the harness someplace.
thanks ! thats what i needed too know...it only showed one part number for the support so i was wondering! i'll find the pigtails, or make some befor i do it thanks!
Check ebay or an auto dismantler. ford-parts.com or one of the similar sites might have a better deal.
If you are handy electrically you could build a harness and add relays so the bulbs get full voltage. You can also add the ability to run regular lights with the high beams.
Better auto stores will have pigtails for the bulbs.
