Hi, I have a 1984 F-250 4x4 with a 351M that I have “blown” the motor on. The truck is not an everyday driver because I have been working on resorting it to a show truck condition. I wanted to UP the Horse Power by dropping a bigger motor into it. I believe I have a C6 trans. I was wondering what motor would bolt up to it.
So its my mistake before for not telling, my dad bought the truck a year old and he said that the motor was a 351 HO. he said it had different modifications from the factory, and that the motor was a rare motor. It has different heads, intake and it also came with different exhaust manifolds. it produced around 385 Horse power. about a year ago we had to put a newer rear-end in it because the stock went out…we replaced it with a Dana 70 full float. so it should hold up with a bigger motor, right?

I just got back from my local salvage yard. Nice people to deal with in terms of price and assistance. I have been puling parts for 80-86 Fords for a couple of years from them.
If you are interested, my friend just purcahsed some items from a gentleman that just sold many of his business items. He advised me he has a new Jasper 351 engine (still on the stand, never installed) and a rebuilt C6 tranny.
If interested, send me a note and I'll eitehr give your info to him or vs versa or even post it. I am considering the C6 tranny since I have that in my 1985 Ford F-350 w/ 460 cu, just to have a spare. I could easily find out if it is the 351 HO, but I thought he did mention 351M. I could maybe even get some pics posted of everything, if anyone else is interested.
