Cool Need Help !!

I posted a question yesterday in the forum heading Super Duty Trucks, and have had only one reply but I'm not sure my problem was understood.

I have a definate erratic clicking noise that is coming from beneath the dash. Located about center of the firewall under the dash and up againest the firewall on my 2002 F250 Super Duty Crew 4X4 (where you can hardly get to it) is a sort of rectangular box that has clusters of wires plugged into the bottom of it. Rather the truck is running or not the clicking sound is heard (quite loud) although it is erratic, and will eventually stop when the ignition key is out and the delay switch for the lights goes off .. the dash and courtesy lights flash and dim during the clicking, however, when I unplug the center cluster of wires going to that box (green plug) the clicking stops. Is this some sort of relay that won't stay engaged or what. ???? Thanks for any help jessccs

I am having a hard time figuring out what this mystery box is. There are so many modules under there, it could be the GEM, the vehicle security module, etc.

When you have it unplugged, what does not work in the truck? And when it's clicking, what doesn't work, or what if anything makes the clicking stop. Example: When you try to roll the windows up, they won't work when it's clicking, or they do not roll up properly.

when the lights finally go off after parking it stops .. it will start as soon as you open the door .. found out it might be the anti theft receiver module .. it also stops when the green plug is pulled out of the nodule (no dash lights, etc.) there are three plugs the middle one is the one .. but dosn't neccessarily mean it's the module ($160.00) need to do diagnostic test. jessccs
