Wow, what a surprise. Wasn't very hard at all. In fact, it was probably the easiest plug change I've ever done on any of my vehicles through the years ('cept for the single-cyl. ATVs...). I didn't even have to use a wobbler or a u-joint for the socket. The only things I moved out of the way was the PCV valve and hose on the pass. side, and I undid the plastic intake tunnel (two hose clamps) on the driver's side and set it aside. Total time: About 2 hours.
Nothing to note really on the used plugs (with 58K miles on 'em), except a little ash on a couple of ones plus some rust on plug #9.
I did notice a significant improvement in power, though, along with an improvement in mpg. Just for fun, I drove a steady 45mph on a very flat and straight two-laner and reset the avg. mpg function on the computer. As long as the road was flat, it registered a steady 18.5 mpg. Now that's with about half a bed of firewood, 4.30 gears and 32" tires. I was impressed.
