Plugs

Changed the sparkplugs on '02 V-10 engine (what fun). The electrodes of third and fourth ones back on the passenger side were heavily ash fouled, while all the rest looked pretty good for 80 K miles, except the gaps were .060 - .065. Put in new FoMoCo ones & the intermittent miss at idle went away. I'm wondering why the heavy ash fouling on those two only.

If those plugs were misfiring, they're going to look different than the rest. I'm assuming you mean black "soot" ...

Give it a few hundred miles, and pull out the passenger side plugs again, and compare. If they all look the same, forget it and move on

If they are fouled again, check for an injector not closing all the way.
