Just wanted to post, and introduce myself. I just bought my truck last week, and I am very excited about getting a lot of essential help with getting it all fixed up. The previous owner really did not know much at all about the truck, so I am learning a lot from the information in the forums. I bought the truck for my 15 year old son, who will turn 16 in a month, to drive to school. He is working at McDonald's to earn the money to buy the truck from me, hopefully he will have it paid for before he finishes high school. We will be working on it together, so he will learn how to fix it, and take care of it.
It is a 1964 F 100 styleside longbed with a 223 straight 6 engine. Manual steering, 3-speed on the column. No factory radio, but the previous owner installed an AM/FM cassette radio under the dash, and lap belts.
I bought a shop manual and owner's manual on ebay, so we can get started on some needed repairs and maintenance.
