I finally got around and ordered a Rearview Mirror for my 70 F250 4x4. My truck never came with one.. either that or it fell off years ago and nobody bothered to replace it! So, here's my question for anyone with a 67-72 Ford F250.
Could someone take a measurement of how far down the rearview mirror is actually mounted? Im not sure how far down its supposed to go... thanks!
James you didn't describe the mirror, but there are two things that I can warn you about. Be sure you can see out, and it will clear the vent window.

Its the kind of mirror that mounts directly to the windshield itself (The kind you have to glue). I purchased it from the LMC Truck catalog. According to the catalog its the right size/shape for the truck. I'm just not sure how far down its supposed to go.
Just went out to the parking lot and measured mine. It’s approximately 3½ inches from the inside edge of the weather strip to the center of the mounting foot.
