Dana 44 swap
I need to swap my dana 44 front with a donar dana 44 front since I swapped the rear with 3.55 gears (the current dana 44 front in the truck has 4.11). I stripped down the donar and it is set to go in. The balljoints on the truck are great, but while I am swapping the front end, should I just replace them anyways? Also, the rotors, well one of them, is pretty bad. How do I seperate the rotor from the hub for replacement or is it just easier to order a new rotor and hub assembly? The tie rods I just replaced, I was going to wait for the swap to replace them but they were so far gone that I just had to do it so those are already replaced. I am also installing new shocks. After the entire swap I will do an alignment. Any other suggestions for the swap? The truck is equipped with superwinch hubs, I know how to take the hubs apart, but how do I go about installing the assembly? Don't they need to be torqued a certain way? Do I need any new seals or bearings? Nothing leaks and the bearings seem great.
