C6 Help!
I have an '85 F-150 4WD, with AT and a 5.0 out of an '84 Mustand GT with an Edelbrock Performer 289 intake, an Edelbrock 2" spacer,(for added torque and horsepower in the low to mid rpm's), and a Edelbrock 1406 600 cfm Performer Carb, with 33x12.50x15 tires and 10x15 aluminum wheels. OK, now my problem. I went to the store and back this morning. When I got back I parked it out back so I could change the oil in it. After the oil change, I neede to go back up the road to a freinds house when I noticed that I didn't have no drive. You can manually shift from 1st into 2nd and then on into drive but it's like there's nothing there. After playing around with it I noticed when it's in drive, it's almost like it's in passing gear if that makes any sense. You can pull it back down into 2nd and it'll go right on up the road, but I know that you can't drive it like this right? A friend of mine said that it sounded like maybe the front pump was out out of it. It don't really make a lot of sense to me right now how one minute it was working OK and the next without any warning or noise or anything like that it just quits working. Any ideas or help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Chris
