A 1970 f-250 doesnt have a diesel, if you have another vehicle you didnt post it. If your driving a dodge, good for you kid. What are you driving a psd downhill for? You didnt even post more info so these guys could help you. You dont even have enouph driving experience to make an educated guess or assesment of the truck you drove. Please let the adults talk and go to paltalk or myspace and have some fun. Enjoy youth while you can and quit wasting your time talking to ol farts like us.
As for myspace i dont have one bc they are a big waste of time. and driving experience, i have driven fully loaded big rig hay trucks down the highway several times, so i know a lot. i was driving a powerstroke for the delivery truck at work. i was delivering a truck load of hay to some place and i was going down a hill and put the pedal down and no response at all. what should i do to fix it? the truck is stock, with a 6 speed tranny, and it needs help.

Now that is the kind of post that will get you some help. We here at FTE, especially at the 7.3 forums, stick together and do whatever it takes to help a fellow powerstroker out, but don't appreciate just coming in and start bad mouthing the 7.3 and expect any help. With that off my chest, you might start with the resistor at the throttle pedal as these are drive by wire, and see if your connections are good. I'm sure someone else will have some ideas, if you stick around here long enough you will realize the wealth of info available if you just ask.
I love it. How do you do that? I gotta get smarter with these things. This isn't a worthless post at all, I needed that after my day at work today guzzle.
you can search google for the pictures of the smileys. then just hit the yellow formatting box in the toolbar at the top of the text box where you write your replies, and then it puts the IMG hang tags around the image. i get my smilies from other message boards...
I got most of my smilies from sites that have pages and pages of nothin' but 'em. Picked the ones I liked and would keep me from getting banned on the forum.

Ok, so let's bring this thread back to FTE standards.
kdhannink can you give us some more specifics about the truck?
Is it your's? Or does somebody else own it and you are trying to help get it repaired?
No throttle response has been mentioned earlier. Can you extrapolate a little more?
I love it, no one got offended and good ol Kwik was here to keep it on track. What is the pigeons all about, your not Bert. Your pic should be an eagle or an owl they kinda go with your truck look. You need an eagle head in front of your pinstripes. Thanks kwik for being just an overall good guy.

I am getting 18 MPG out of mine empty and pulling 10,000 lbs I get 15 mpg withthe cruise set and running 75mph. I would like to see a Cummins do that.
thats really good probuilder. my friends got 21 mpg goin up in the hills with two chords of fire wood in his dodge. oh and he takes corvettes in the 1/4 mile. i talked to a guy who got 18 mpg pulling a 4 horse trailer around with his 93 dodge.

So once again, do you want help with the 7.3L PSD or do you want to keep talking about your truck??
Give us some more info and people here will be glad to help fix the issue with the POWERSTROKE!

Does it only do it going down hills? Or is it all the time....if your in 6th gear and floor it...your putting alot of stress on that engine and the clutch. Maybe the clutch is going out? How long did you hold the peddle down for?
