Pro comp mud terrains

I am in the market for new tires. I am sure that this subject has been beat to death but search that I did didn't give me the info that I was looking for.
I drive a 2005 F250 FX4 and want a mud terrain that will last. I have seen that the pro comp come with a 50K mile warrenty. That alone has me leaning toward
the pro comp.
How do they compare to the BFG's? Do they have a good wear life?
I have a diesel engine and the truck is very heavy. I do not tow heavy things very often but will from time to time.
I think that the main reason I have been slow to get some new tires is that my mpg is about 15 and with bigger tires I know that go down but I do not want it to be 10mpg.
Another thing- I plan on putting a 2" leveling kit on. Will the 33/12.5/17 fit(without rubbing) with a 2" leveling kit?
Thanks for the help.

as far as the leveling and tire size I can not help you there, but I do have 31x10.50x15 on my 92 f150. I do mainly highway driving ocassional towing, and some muddin every now and then. I have almost 60k on my bfg mud terrains and let me tell you, I love them!!! I will be buying them again here in the near future. My tires still have about another 10 to 15k left but they are worn and wore very nicely. I believe the biggest thing to tire lift is proper inflation and a good alignment. If they are not right your tires wont last no matter what kind you buy. I have a friend that has the pro comps and he likes them a lot, but he was going to buy the bfg until pro comp had the buy 3 get 1 free. I love my bfg mud terrains!!! They are relatively quiet, handle good, good load rating and excellent traction.hope this helps a little bit.

Thanks Pacer for your info.
I do like the BFG's but they do not offer a 305/70/17(the size I want) but procomp does.
Thanks again
