good luck, i was just thinking, with a tank of that age, I would check it for leaks before getting started and spending alot of $$$ on your trailer. Alot of old septic tanks tend to rust out due to the corrosive septic, and its iron, so just sitting around it will rust from the outside in and the inside out! Best way to check is to vacume test it with a vacume pump. With looking in our junk pile with all our old septic trucks and tanks, it wouldnt look too good :<

it would be more work to get the truck to run and i think there is alot of parts missing, like front tires, drive shaft, tranny i think, most of the cab parts

be aware there will be some serious force behind 800 gal. of sloshing water
dual axle and brakes are a must--i would keep the tank as close to the ground
as possible

If the rear axle, springs and wheels are intact on the 2 ton that it's on now, why not just hack off the frame under the cab and turn the existing frame into a trailer? If the balance over the axle is poor, maybe you can shift the tank back on the frame or even add a steer axle to the front of the 2 ton frame. Seems it would be a lot less work than pulling it off one frame to put it on another frame.

Good luck with your project.

Cheers,
Eric

i thought about that, but the rear tires arent that great (dry rotten) and plus i think the frame is as high as my rear bumper, which would kill the tounge weight wheen full,

thanks for the ideas guys
