sensors

1998f150 where would i get a list of sensors, their function, and location on a 4.2 any help would be appreciated. Ive read a lot of posts with abreviations in them and was wondrein tanks

The best reference is the factory service CD. Bootleg copies are on ebay or you can download and burn your own.

If you're so inclined, www.helminc.com is the official publisher for Ford and may have them available.

The sensors and their functions (and locations) are in the PCED (Powertrain Control & Emissions Diagnosis) section.

A Haynes manual also has a list of the sensors and there functions,along with there locations.
