ceramic coating turbos

I am wondering if anyone has any knowledge of the pros and cons of doing this to your turbo housing? If i remove the turbo from the truck to install a ATS compressor housing would it be worth my while to do this? Its not very expensive but would mean your truck would be down for a day or two. A buddy told me that ceramic coating acts as a thermal barrier and causes the exhaust gasses to flow faster thus increasing power. Is this true? Also what would happen to EGTs? And of course it would look pretty badass to have the turbo, IC pipes, and down pipe ceramic coated. I have never seen this done to a diesel truck yet but have seen a few cars at the drag stip with this done, and im just curious If this would help enough to justify doing it?

Hmmm, someone must have done it somewhere. Interesting thought with a diesel.

In theory he is correct. I've not seen any data to compare. When I installed my trans blanket I wraped my up pipes with header wrap.
