Post frozen brakes

'68 sitting in garage 2 years not willing to budge. Short of taking off wheels and prying brakes apart any shortcuts?

frozen brakes

Make sure the parking brake is not frozen!!
Take off the wheels and try tapping/hitting on the brake drums to get them to free up...

Moisture will hold the brake shoes to the drum. Caused from sitting still..

If you have a way to pull or tow it out of the garage, try that. It might just free up the brakes enough to get it rolling. I had the same problem with my '68 after it sat for 10 years under a shed. I wound up replacing everything, more for safety than anything else.

Try it backwards first. You may try an old tire between your tractor and the truck and give it a nudge. It shouldn't take a lot of distance unless the wheels are sliding. Hope you get it going. :-)

Thank you John Wilker for your suggestions. My '68 is on a small "retreat" in the woods 40 miles from my home and will be attended to within the near future. I will post the results as soon as "she' is free. Thank you all and happy holidays.P.S. N.C. is on my retire to list.
