The 5 speed is the better way to go, thats why ford deleted the 4 speed and went with the 5 only. There is no granny in a ranger tranny, he's thinking of an f-150 4 speed, 5th gear is the overdrive, in a 4 speed you have no overdrive.
ok i have a 351w that is ready to drop in whatever desired..will a 351 drop in as a 302 would? i also have a c4 trans that i cant use. the 351 isnt built that radical is was bored .30 over and cam, carb and intake. from there, what else should i need? the headers will bolt up still and then what? do you think the rear will hold?
