What happened to Ricky Rudd? Did he quit or retire? I saw him try and drive the 20 unit the other weekend.

He never used the word "retire", just that he wanted to take some time off to spend time with his family. His son is racing go-karts and dirt bikes and he wants to be involved with that. I have alot of respect for somebody who can put family infront of making money.

What's the Ward'ster up to? I'm refering to Ward Burton, who grew up on the southern end of the Burton house.

Ward is still around and was looking for a quality ride. He is still looking but I think now his standard of team has lessened somewhat.

There are good drivers available. Look at Bill, Ricky, and Ward. Anyone wanna bet Toyota entices Bill to sign a 1 yr deal just to get his Championship provisional? They've already got DJ. Ward has said he is in talks w/ 2 domestic teams(Ganassi and Yates?) Ricky and Yates burned their bridge but there are still 3 Toyota teams that have yet to announce a driver. Red Bull #2 (rumoured to be Bill's ride), the Bill Davis 23(Lester, Skinner or Benson?) and Waltrip's 3rd team. Ganassi will probably go outside for a driver (Scott Pruett?) Lots of what ifs, next yr is going to be interesting.

Yates and Ricky could get together since Yates needs a good driver. For enough money and the right incentives Ricky would still consider going back.

I figured Ganassi would go outside for a driver but Juan Montoya? Wow, I thought he would get someone who had at least more time in a stock car than 6-7 laps.

I'm just irritated with the TV channels chosen to cover the events... I don't have cable.

Ditto Ditto....got to agree with ya their.

Did you see all the stuff being thrown at the 24 car when i won that race? HATE 24 with a passion, but that was embarrassing to the NASCAR fans. Booooo to those who did that.

Anyone caught throwing any object onto the track should be arrested and banned from attending again.

The fans acted like the race winner -- classless.

Actually, I think Gordon gets things thrown at him every time he wins. I've been at 2 Martinsville races where Jeffy won and fans threw beer cans at him. . .
