302: water access points?

I am in the home stretch of this total 1968 F-100 restoratation. (replaced 300 with 302)I look forward to driving this thing someday!

How many access points is there for the 302 on the intake manifold? I can count 2: 1 for the heater hose, and one for the temp sender for the guage.

Problem: Now I need a access point for the "temperature-controlled" fan, which has a switch that is to be mounted to the intake manifold or block. Based on the only 2 access points that I can see that are taken, what else can I do?

Possible solution: Is there a "Y" that can be purchased so that both the Temp Guage sender and the Fan Temp switch can cap off of the same whole? Or is there a connection that can be added instead for the heater hose access? Or is there another tapping point I'm not aware of?

I would love to hear what the solution might be!
Thanks,
Mark

What about a thermostat housing with an extra port? That's where I have my fan switch. I know Ford Motorspprts has one for the 302 with a port, but the neck is at 90 degrees. Check around.

Have you thought about drilling and tapping an extra port in your thermostat housing? I did this in my IH Scout.

302: water access points?

Sorry to ask this in someone else's post but Is it possible to have both an aftermarket water temp guage and still have the factory one work?

You can get the thermostat housing with the sensor hole in it, or you may be able to find a heater hose fitting with one in it also. You could even get a brass"T" block and put 2 barbed fittings in it and put it in the heater supply hose and install your fan switch in there. This goes the same for the question about using a stock and aftermarket gauge at the same time.
