Wierd Problem with warning chime
After adjusting the location of the front passenger door latch striker plate on the door jam to latch the door tighter against the rubber stopper to prevent an annoying rattle when going over large bumps, my interior chime now rings rapidly even with the keys removed from the ignition whenever either of the front doors are open. It did not do this until I adjusted the driver's door. Don't know if it's coincidence or related in some how. What does it means when the chime is ringing rapidly even with the key's out and door open? Do any other SD's chime's ring rapidly when a door is open with the keys out? Your help is greatly appreciated.

Are you slaming the door to close now? you may have broken the latch switch.
The sw is in the latch itself .or it could be just sticking.
This vehicle has keyless entry also ,being a lariat.chk to see iff one of the buttons isn't stuck in .

Thanks for the reply, I think my problem is in the ignition key-tumbler switch mechanism. I found if I tap the ignition switch bezel after removing the key, I can make it stop until the next time I start and stop the truck. I'll live with it for now until it drives me crazy.
